Yamaha TY175 Electronic Ignition Stator Kit - Ignition Only - Electrex

Suitable for all TY 175 models to replace the original fixed timing points system with CDI electronic ignition.
Utilises the original flywheel for simplicity and low cost.
Electronic advance of 16° is specifically developed to give smooth tractable power, ideal for trials.
Starting is very easy with ignition at only 150 rpm.

CDI (capacitive discharge ignition) works by charging a capacitor within the combined HT-CDI unit from the source coil on the stator, this same coil also produces the timing signal. The cdi digitises the signal and uses the microprocessor to derive the pre-programmed ignition timing curve.

• Simple to fit, no machining required.

• The stator produces the energy and timing signal which feed the combined HT-CDI, producing a high voltage spark for very easy starting at only 150 rpm.

• Ignition advance is automatic which gives excellent performance throughout the rev range.

Very easy to install and set-up. Full wiring diagram and instructions supplied.
Kit contains: Stator, HT CDI + cap, kill switch and fitting kit.
