BSA Unit Singles / Matchless 350cc - Electronic Ignition / Lighting Alternator Kit

Suitable for the following bikes:
BSA B25, B40, B44, B50, C15 + Matchless 350cc Models + Royal Enfield 350cc Bullet
AJS/Matchless NOTE - Only suitable for Matchless models with a tin clutch cover where the original stator is mounted directly on to the crankshaft case. - NOT suitable for models with an aluminium clutch cover where the original stator is mounted in the clutch cover.

Replacement for Lucas or Wipac alternator. Complete digital self generating ignition and alternator, pre-programmed advance curve gives optimum performance.

The CDI (capacitive discharge ignition) works by charging a capacitor within the CDI unit from the source coil on the stator, this same coil also produces the timing signal. The cdi digitises the signal and uses the microprocessor to derive the pre-programmed ignition timing curve.

  • Replacement for original alternator and ignition. Complete digital self generating ignition and alternator, pre-programmed advance curve gives optimum performance for the 4 stroke twin engine.
  • No battery, contact breaker assembly or distributor required for the ignition.
  • Simple timing set-up align marks on the rotor and stator.
  • Single phase alternator 50w output with combined regulator and regulator/rectifier. This gives a controlled 12v AC output to the lighting circuit to prevent bulb failure + 12v DC output to a battery if fitted. The battery can be replaced with a capacitor pack if required, this gives greater reliability but has limited energy storage capability.
  • A battery is NOT required to run the ignition or lighting but advantageous for brakelight or indicators.
  • PLEASE NOTE - Only suitable for Matchless models with a tin clutch cover where the original stator is mounted directly on to the crankshaft. Also for the B44 and WD B40, modifications may be required to the cover if it includes an inspection plate, this is due to the reduced clearance with the STK-100D rotor.
Very easy to install and set-up. Full wiring diagram and instructions supplied.
Kit contains: Stator, Rotor, Digital CDI, Regulator/Rectifier, HT55+5K ohm HT Cap, Kill Switch and fitting kit.
