Lucas 88SA Ignition Switch
This switch is usually used on bikes with the Emergency start option.
The switch is OFF in the central position.
The switch is ON with one click to the right.
For emergency start (when the battery is flat) turn the key to the left and start the engine, as soon as it is running you turn the key to the ON position.
The emergency start position uses additional power from the alternator to provide a spark when starting, but this is too much power for normal running so the key must be turned to ON as soon as possible.
