1/4" x 1/4" BSP Main Fuel Tap - Flat Lever Type with Filter and Locknut - Standard Quality
These taps are generally used on many BSA, Norton and Triumph models.
Main gas tap / petcock with a tube that allows reserve fuel to remain in tank.
Two position lever - lever vertical is ON, lever horizontal is OFF.
This standard quality tap is chrome plated machined metal with a fine mesh filter in a plastic cage and locknut.
The internal mechanism works with the use of an ethanol resistant rubber sleeve with straight metal shaft - please see additional photos.
When the lever is rotated to the OFF position the hole in the shaft is horizontal therefore stopping the flow of fuel.
Alternative UK made version available which has a cast brass body and brass mechanism - please see options.
Tap outlet thread diameter: 1/2" (12.7mm) - as shown in the photos
Tank inlet thread diameter: 1/2" (12.7mm) - as shown in the photos
Please note: 1/4" x 1/4" BSP refers to the thread size, not the thread diameter
